First Annual B.C. Cider Week
B.C. is celebrating our province’s growing cider industry with tastings, tap takeovers and other events.
Calling all cider lovers! This weekend marks the beginning of the first annual B.C. Cider Week, an eight-day festival that celebrates our province’s growing cider industry. The inaugural event, planned by the Northwest Cider Association, takes place October 17–25 and includes tastings and tap takeovers throughout the mainland and Vancouver Island.
Taste a variety of ciders (from Reverend Nat’s, Merridale Ciderworks, Anthem and more) and enjoy locally-sourced food and live music at the October 18 kick-off event: The Cider Social at Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse.
Other events include the UBC Apple Festival (at which you can taste more than 60 varieties of heirloom apples), the tree-naming event and Cider Masterclass at Tod Creek, and the BC Tree Fruits Cider Cask Night.
