Catch Umbra’s Paul Rowan at Vancouver Special Tonight
The Umbra founder shares thoughts on design and branding at Vancouver Special’s free speaker event.
Tonight Vancouver Special plays host to internationally renowned graphic designer Paul Rowan, co-founder of Toronto’s Umbra, as he shares his experiences with strategic branding and design.
Umbra‘s a Canadian design success story, created 30 years ago with fashionable, functional products now sold in 120 countries. Some of their award-winning products include the Fishhotel Aquarium, a fishbowl modelled after a contemporary condo; the Conceal Book Shelf, a wall shelf that is completely concealed by the books it holds; and the Magino Stool, a transparent acrylic stool that doubles as a magazine rack and side table. For more on the individual designers and their inspirations, check out the Live With Design video series created by videographer Andy Lo.
The evening will also feature a Q&A with special guests Post Projects, and beer from Brassneck Brewery, so be sure to RSVP now for this free design event.
