We’re Loving Benjamin Moore’s Colour of the Year 2017
Meet Shadow 2117-30, the recently unveiled choice for Colour of the Year—and five of our favourite products that put the moody hue to work.
After a year’s worth of research into industry shows, design trends, and popular architecture, fashion, and art, Benjamin Moore has announced its 2017 Colour of the Year. This year’s color was largely inspired by fine art, highlighting the connection between an artist’s choice of color and the mood their work creates.
The color is called Shadow 2117-30, a deep, rich purple with gray undertones. “Shadow is sophisticated, provocative and poetic, it can bring energy to a space or harmony and a moment of respite,” says Ellen O’Neill, Benjamin Moore’s Creative Director. The saturated colour pairs well with creams and light pastels, such as some of the shades in the also newly announced Colour Trends 2017 palette.
Here are five products that make use of the Colour of the Year:
Sandro Scarlett sofa (from $1,675) This luxurious sofa comes in dozens of colours , including this deep plum and many of the other shades in the Colour Trends palette. Each one is custom made, so every detail is perfect. roveconcepts.com
