Scallops with XO Sauce
This Scallops and XO sauce recipe from The Lazy Gourmet‘s Chef Jenny Hui makes the perfect Asian cuisine-inspired appetizer or party canapé. Of course an essential part is the XO sauce, check out Hui’s recipe for that here.
- Yield: 12 scallops
12 scallops (muscles removed and dry on paper towel)
6 tsp XO sauce
Heat sauté pan over high heat. Add 1/4 cup vegetable oil.
Turn heat down to medium high. Add scallop and sear until golden brown. Turn scallop over and sear until golden.
Place on paper towel to drain the fat.
Place one piece of scallop on a spoon. Place 1/2 tsp XO sauce on top. Serve immediately.
