Georgia Spicy Margarita

To celebrate the margarita’s 80th anniversary, the bartenders at Prohibition have introduced Margarita Thursdays—and crafted three brand new tequila cocktails, including this spicy, orange-and-jalpeno margarita.

    Ingredients

    60 ml Cazadores Silver Tequila

    30 ml Fresh squeezed lime juice

    20 ml orange and jalapeno Syrup

    Pink peppercorn Maldon salt (for glass rim)


    Orange and Jalapeno Syrup

    2 tbsp pickled jalapenos

    Zest of one orange

    200 ml agave syrup

    70 ml hot water


    Pink Peppercorn Maldon Salt

    1 tbsp pink peppercorns

    1 tbsp Maldon salt

    Preparation

    Shake and fine strain into a rimmed glass on cubed ice. 

    Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel.


    Orange and Jalapeno Syrup

    In a blender, add 2 tbsp pickled Jalapenos, zest of one orange, 200 ml of agave syrup and 70 ml hot water and blend for syrup.

    Pink Peppercorn Maldon Salt

    In a spice grinder, add 1 tbsp pink peppercorns and 1tbsp Maldon salt and blend.
