First Look: The Apartment at Holt Renfrew
The new personal shopping suites at Holt Renfrew are nicer than most Vancouver condos. When can we move in?
If you’ve stepped inside the Holt Renfrew store within the last year, chances are you’ve noticed some changes. The luxury retailer has been busy revamping their downtown Vancouver location, adding a new Holts Cafe, Ladurée boutique and tea salon, an 8,000-square-foot (!) women’s shoe hall, plus a slew of additional jewellery and menswear brands (David Yurman, Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten, among others).
Last week, the expansion continued with Holt’s unveiling of their new personal shopping suites. Spanning two floors and 6,000 square feet, the store now houses seven personal shopping rooms (plus two more located in the Holt Renfrew Men department). The pièce de résistance, however, is the aptly named Apartment, a 1,200-square-foot shopping and entertainment suite located on the rooftop of the store. With a complete living room, dining area, private powder room and wrap-around patio overlooking downtown Vancouver, you’ll arrive looking for the perfect mother-of-the-bride dress or I-need-to-nail-this-job-interview outfit, but leave wishing you were in the market for a new home instead.
Reimagined by New York firm Janson Goldstein and furnished in collaboration with Robert Quinnell and David Keeler of Vancouver’s Provide, the suite boasts a chic and modern collection of luxury homewares designed by Tom Dixon, Zaha Hadid, Lindsey Adelman and more. The space will be used primarily for personal shopping, but on occasion, will also be home to unique events and trunk shows. Take a peek inside the designer suite below!
