Costen Catbalue Goldsmith + Design
Costen Catablue is the creative collaboration between two of Vancouver’s leading goldsmiths, Mary Ann Buis and Andrew Costen. The in-house designers each bring a reputed European education, distinct approach to their craft and history of award-winning creations to the Vancouver-based storefront, where a shared studio and boutique space invites customers to participate throughout the design process.
Buis and Costen focus on handcrafted designs, often drawing on century-old tools and technologies to merge classic and modern styles that withstand the test of time. Their custom jewellery is developed in careful partnership with each client, bringing greater personalization and meaning to these heirloom items, while their ability to breathe fresh life into old or damaged jewellery is unparalleled. On-site showcases are filled with ready-made designs built around rare jewels and stones that reflect the goldsmiths’ unique personal styles—her: clean architectural lines and crisp diamond cuts, him: unusual combinations of gemstones and metals.
With jewellery that ranges from contemporary to traditional, Mary Ann Buis and Andrew Costen have developed an international reputation for Costen Catbalue as a Canadian brand synonymous with quality, clarity and exceptional design.
