Today’s design inspo? Nothing but the bathroom sink.
Whether it’s colourful concrete basin, a hammered copper bowl or a minimalist trough, today’s bathroom sinks are serving serious style. Keep on scrolling to see what we mean.
This lakeside cabin in Saskatchewan can comfortably fit 20+ guests, so it makes sense that designer Cristina Rivett added a trough vessel sink to this bathroom. The long concrete basin is not only stylish, but also allows multiple people to brush their teeth at once. Check out the rest of this 3,989-square-foot vacation home.
Want to inject a little colour into your bathroom? Look no further than the concrete sinks designed by Edmonton’s Crete Collective. The above photo shows the Lily sink in a royal blue, but there are several shapes and 35 hues available. “The [design] side of things was about bringing some level of joy or a spark of happiness into these spaces that we use every single day,” says co-founder Sam Wilkins. Learn more about Crete Collective’s work.
If Mr. Big & Tall were a kitchen and bath retailer, this is the type of sink we’d expect to find there. The elongated basin, black porcelain wall tiles and smoked glass pendant give this powder room a dark, elegant look—one that’s in direct contrast with the rest of the home’s white palette. Explore this West Coast modern revival designed by Nigel Parish.
With natural oak slats, an exquisite dipped-glass pendant light, limestone counters and matte-white vessel sink, this powder room has a spa-like vibe. Designer Sophie Burke even goes so far as to call it “an immersive experience.” Peek inside this beautiful West Vancouver harbour house.
The owners of this ’70s-era Vancouver Special have eclectic, global tastes—as evidenced by the main floor bathroom. Designer Ben Leavitt of PlaidFox Studio brought in a striking Ferrandi wallpaper, a suede finish counter, a custom flat-panel white oak vanity, a matte black faucet and a concrete pistachio-green sink. See the before and after renovation photos.
Interior designer Suzanne Tetrault wasn’t afraid to embrace colour when designing this Calgary spec home. Throughout, you’ll find creams, peaches and—in both the ensuite bathroom and powder room—maroons. In the latter, the dark tile complements a hammered copper sink. Find out why else this home sold before it even got listed.
The team at Box Interior Design transformed every inch of this 4,000-square-foot condo into a sanctuary for the homeowners. Each space somehow manages to feel both warm and intimate yet glorious and grand at the same time. In the powder room, this is achieved with a custom mirror and a Nahbi Collection sink by Kreoo. Tour this private residence, located inside Vancouver’s iconic Westin Bayshore Hotel.
