Q: How does the West Coast inspire your work?
“We want to tap into the wilderness of the West Coast and bring that natural inspiration into our design, from the mythology of the forest to stories of loggers and explorers. You can’t avoid the way that the environment and the proximity informs the work. It’s really amazing to be able to walk in the forest or be at the sawmill and have that material at your fingertips. It seems really rare and unique and special. And I think that uniqueness is crucial for handmade things.”
