A smartly designed home office features secret storage to tidy away unsightly office equipment.

Whatever you might be grinding away at in your home office—emails, spreadsheets, an article for a beloved design and lifestyle magazine—it’s easiest to work when your space itself works. And this personal workspace designed by Jocelyn Ross Studioworks, converted from an underutilized second bedroom in a busy bachelor’s Vancouver townhouse, is designed to make professional magic happen.
A hidden cabinet behind a bookshelf conceals clunky office equipment like printers and cords, leaving the rest of the shelves (painted in Benjamin Moore’s Raintree Green) free for the display of books and photos to be admired from the Eames chair. Sleek French doors with matte-black mullions keep the room visually connected to the rest of the home. Working hard or hardly working, it’s a cozy place to be.
