The finalists for the 2026 Western Living Designers of the Year Awards are officially here, bringing together some of the most exciting design talent in Western Canada.

This year’s lineup is stacked with designers creating some of the strongest work in the country, spanning architecture, interiors, furniture, industrial design, landscape design and one-of-a-kind maker pieces. Our judges now have the finalists’ work in hand, and the category winners will be revealed in our September 2026 issue and celebrated live at the Western Living Designers of the Year Awards on September 10, 2026, at Inform in Vancouver.

And now, dear reader, this is where you come in.

The Western Living People’s Choice Awards, presented by Thermador, hand the judging over to you. Each finalist has one project in the running, and your vote decides which one rises above the rest.

Scroll down to review one standout project from each of this year’s finalists and cast your votes.

How Does It Work?

The awards span eight categories: architecture, interior design, landscape design, industrial design, furniture design and maker/one-of-a-kind, plus our two emerging designer honours, the Arthur Erickson Memorial Award for an emerging architect or residential designer and the Robert Ledingham Memorial Award for an emerging interior designer.

Our editors have selected one project from each finalist to compete for the People’s Choice title in their respective category.

You get one vote per category, so make it count.

The winners will be revealed live on stage at the Designers of the Year Awards on September 10, 2026. Purchase your tickets now, because this party has a habit of selling out.

Western Living People’s Choice voting is open until July 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PT, so act fast and don’t be shy about backing your favourites. We can’t wait to see which projects win over the people.

A special thank you to Thermador for supporting the Western Living People’s Choice Awards and Western Canada’s design community.

Please note: Our voting software is embedded below and may take a moment or two to load. After clicking “submit,” you’ll be asked to prove you’re a human and not a robot (a robot with a keen design eye, of course), so be sure to complete the CAPTCHA too.

(And don’t worry: we take your privacy seriously. We won’t spam you after you vote.)
