VIDEO: See the Night Western Canada’s Best Designs Were Celebrated at Livingspace
You looked good, party people.
Our September issue isn’t our favourite just because it’s packed with beautiful projects from the best designers in Western Canada—we love it because, each year, it gives us an amazing excuse to celebrate with the design community.
On September 11, 2025, at Cantu Bathrooms and Hardware in Vancouver, we gathered nearly 400 of Western Canada’s most talented designers and party-loving design fans to announce the winners of our 18th annual Designers of the Year competition, and to raise a glass to all of the region’s incredible talent. (Check out all of our 2025 winners and Ones to Watch here!)
We’ve got a little sneak peek at some of the night’s party shots below, but if you want to relive the magic in more depth, just head to the full Designers of the Year Party Album.
Sad to have missed the fun? Designers can apply for our next design competition, the WL Design 25, right now, and receive a ticket to the impending awards night. Or, sign up for our newsletter to be among the first to know when tickets go on sale for future Western Living parties.
Thank you to our wonderful sponsors: venue sponsor Cantu Bathrooms and Hardware; platinum sponsors AD Projects, Laminam Super Natural Surface, Midland Appliance and La Cornue; our pouring partners Drink Glimmer Wine, Duchess, Mission Hill Winery and Twin Sails Brewing; catering partner Truffles Fine Foods; AV partner McMedia Audio Visual Services; and photo booth partner Dang Good Photo Booths.
If you’d like to support future WL events, please get in touch!
