What’s even better than a Western Living awards party celebrating our WL Design 25 Awards?

Easy: two parties to celebrate.

For the first time, we’ll not only be celebrating our 25 winners of a WL Design 25 award at a celebration in February (and of course, in our March/April 2026 issue): we’re going to be live announcing the finalists who are in the running to take home a Western Living Design 25 honour this year.

We’ve partnered with Varsa Windows & Doors for the big day! On October 22, 2025 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., we’ll be mixing it up with Vancouver’s design community over cocktails (and mocktails), wine and beer, as well as tapas-style appetizers from Nammos and a live DJ. Plus, head to the heated tent out back: Livingspace will have a pizza bar rolling all night.

Look for photo booths, a red carpet, cigar lounge, custom paintings for guests—and more!

And as of 7 p.m., we’ll start periodically live announcing the finalists in exciting interludes.

All finalists will be up to win one of our coveted Western Living Design 25 awards, our awards program that’s designed to focus on specific projects: from an inviting bedroom to a perfect chair, an elegant office space to a sustainably crafted coffee table.

Each of the 25 winners on our WL Design 25 list represent the best of Western Canadian design in 2026—and it all starts with the finalists.

The night also kicks off the launch of our popular WL People’s Choice Awards—where our readers select one standout new product and one exceptional new room design. Readers will have a chance to vote for their favourite as of October 23, 2025. (Sign up for our newsletter to make sure you’re the first to know when voting begins!)

This signature event brings together the region’s most celebrated designers and architects alongside emerging talent and industry supporters, making it the premier design gathering in Western Canada. Join us at Varsa Windows & Doors—the team will also be celebrating the grand opening of their showroom—to be the first to discover the best new designs for 2026.

We’ll have a tight capacity for this one, so get your tickets while you can! Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve entered this year or not.
