Thrilling performances from Les Miserables and farm-to-table barrel cellar dining set the stage for the release of Culminas new R&D Red Blend
On the evening of June 13, Culmina Family Estate Winery released the inaugural vintage of their R&D Red Blend from their Golden Mile Bench estate in the South Okanagan. Proprietors Don & Elaine Triggs were joined by Arts Club Theatre Company’s Kate Blackburn and Chris Sams, who performed excerpts from the summer production of Les Miserables. The performances were followed by a regionally-inspired dinner prepared by Joy Road Catering and paired with Culmina’s portfolio of wines by Chef & Sommelier Dana Ewart. Highlights included the tender braised lamb shoulder with red wine risotto paired alongside the 2013 R&D Red Blend. If you were unable to make it to the Okanagan for ‘A Taste of Les Mis’, you can relive the memorable evening here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Do3LgT7woCcCulmina’s new 2013 R&D Red Blend is now available to purchase direct from the winery or in select BC VAQ stores
