When the former Ministry of Interiors team—now Studio Edna and Brianna Hughes Interior Design—helped revamp this 2,600-square-foot home, the owners’ children were just 2 and 5 years old. To create a space that would grow with the kids, designers Shannon McClelland and Brianna Hughes paired a playful Hex Star cement tile with a classic white subway tile. Speaking of Brianna Hughes… our 2024 Robert Ledingham Memorial Award winner seems to have a knack for designing kids’ bathrooms. That said, the one in this ’70s-inspired Edmonton home does have a more grown-up style. It features terracotta subway tiles, a terrazzo tile tub surround and a dark teal vanity.
