The Vancouver Home and Design Show is back with a new name and a full line-up of local and national talent. Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28The HGTV host and producer of eight lifestyle series will be talking about how to dramatically transform your space; catch her on the Urban Barn Main Stage, where she’ll be sharing her best design tips and answering your home renovation questions. Be sure to stick around for more expert advice from Masters of Flip Kortney and Dave Wilson, colour-forward designer Tiffany Pratt and local DIY expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault—they’ll be on the Main Stage throughout the weekend.

This must-see presentation will teach you the ins and outs of creating high-end style—Banfield is known for his West Coast flair (think wood, stone and nature-inspired colour palettes)—without breaking the bank.

3. Decorate Your Table with Style

Thursday, October 26Tijana Popovic, blogger of A Plentiful Life, and frugalista extraordinaire, shares her DIY table setting tips and tricks—just in time for the upcoming holiday season! From choosing the perfect plates and place cards, to dreaming up a dynamic centrepiece, this workshop will leave you with all the knowledge you need to create a showstopping tablescape.

4. Vegan is the Word

Friday, October 27It’s time to give your fave vegan dishes a little more flavour! Chickpea‘s Rotem Tal and Itamar Shani will be on the Cooking Stage, sharing their best tips for preparing a vegan feast—and taking your tastebuds on a joyride with a fusion of flavours inspired by their Israeli heritage and love of the West Coast. Bon appetit!

5. Cook Venezuelan Cuisine with Chef Jefferson Alvarez
