As part of IDS Vancouver’s 3rd international exchange, Design Milk has curated a group of Eindhoven’s most innovative product designers. This year’s exhibit, designed by two time DOTY winner Burgers Architecture Inc, features the creations by Ontwerpduo, Steven Banken Design, the VANTOT collective, and Studio Dirk vander Kooij.Don’t miss the Exchange’s main event, a Pecha Kucha-style talk hosted by our very own Anika Quin, where six leading designers will present their body of work in 20 slides and reveal what about Eindhoven influences their business, their process and the city’s design culture.Saturday, September 24 // 11:30am // Caesarstone Stage
New this year, check out this curated installation showcasing the best of contemporary ceramics from Canada, the US and Europe. We’re looking forward to seeing what DOTY maker of the year Cathy Terepocki brings to the table, as well as getting our hands on some of the cheeky designs from Brooklyn based studio Group Partner.
Let author, TV host and home style expert Emily Henderson—who lives by the motto “perfection is boring”–show you how to bring your unique personal style to every room of your home, no matter the budget.Saturday, September 24 // 1:00 // Caesarstone Stage.
Join some of the Pacific Northwest’s most inspirational rebels of design—Vancouver’s Piers Cunnington of Measured Architecture, Amber Kingsnorth of MāK Interiors, Carey Melnichuk of Secret Location, Neil Patel of Kabuni, and Portland’s Andee Hess of Osmose Design—to learn how they carved their own path, what they’re working on next, and how they’re bringing about change through design.Sunday, September 25 // 2:00pm // GRAY Conversations Stage
