We got a sneak peek at this year's Interior Design Show Vancouver. Here's what you'll find at this year's show.
First look at the showroom floor. The showroom floor at the Vancouver Convention Centre is a whirlwind of construction—and likely will be until minutes before the grand opening tonight—but we put on our safety vests and braved the drilling and sawdust to get a preview of this year’s Interior Design Show Vancouver. It’s the city’s biggest design event each year, bringing together critically acclaimed designers, big-name brands and local heroes for a weekend of exhibits, design talks and special collaborations… and we were among the first to see what’s in store for 2017.
The IDS bar this year is a collaboration between Ann Sacks Tiles and Camille Walala. This year’s Design Exchange focuses on Tokyo designers’ work. Benjamin Moore’s booth features a fireplace design we’ll be dreaming about. Mobilia tapped designer Gillian Segal to design the media lounge. The Clay and Glaze exhibition features ceramic designs from all over the world. Designer Jaime Hayon collaborated with Caesarstone to create whimsical displays featuring clown cabinets and a carrousel. Design mags (including ours!) dangle above cozy reading spots in the Article display. Another Jaime Hayon collab, this time with Switzer Cult Creative. (Does this guy ever sleep?)
