We sneak a peek inside the homes of Vancouver’s best designed bachelor suites.

THE JET-SETTERThis high-flying suite was sold as a one-bedroom, but its new owner quickly converted it into a bachelor. (“It was always intended to be a single room by the architect,” he says.) Constant global travels left him looking for a crash pad that kept things simple. The owner’s globe-trotting is directed by the tides of the art world, the fruits of which dominate his home—the result is a collection on these gallery-white walls that is superb and enviable.THE CRAFTSMANChristian Woo, one of the city’s top new furniture makers, is known for his clean lines, expressed in gorgeous American black walnut benches, tables and beds. But he’s also been outfitting entire homes with smart millwork—from wall-sized installations to in-drawer cutlery dividers. His own home, a bachelor just off Main Street, offers spacious living and floods of light.
