Local artist Colette Gouin is painting some colour into the grey landscape that is winter in Vancouver. Until December 20, residents of the rainy city can take in a lively collection of her acrylic, watercolour, and ink pieces, all inspired by the vibrant hues of nature. The fittingly titled Seduction by Colour exhibition features sights you probably haven’t seen since spring: riots of flowers, trees in bloom and swimming schools of fish. Bid on a piece to brighten your home for the new year, and you just might brighten someone else’s day—proceeds from the sale of select paintings will benefit the Pediatric Cancers Survivorship Society of BC.Swing by the sixeightya Gallery at 680a Leg in Boot Square, Vancouver, to see Seduction by Colour for yourself, or check out colettegouinart.com for more information. “Alone” by Colette Gouin
