Retro storage design gets a very modern update.
A friend recently turned me on to the designs of (the fabulously named) Sholto Scruton. The custom furniture designer recently launched a new Emerald Collection, based on his most-requested designs, including a dining table, coffee table and sideboard. Made of solid wood and anodized aluminum, each piece is made-to-order from a selection of wood species as well as custom-coloured anodized aluminum legs. My favourite in the mix is credenza that can be personalized with a cocktail bar, wine rack, shelving, or AV storage with room for 100 of my records (yes, I’m on the frequent flyer program at Red Cat Records.)Emerald Collection by Sholto Designs, price on request, available at sholto.ca
