The online brand's first bricks-and-mortar space will also host pop-ups leading up to the holidays.
After being an online-only purveyor of linen sheets, towels, kitchen linens and more, the folks at Flax Home (formerly Flax Sleep) have just opened a bijoux storefront on Hastings.
The pretty space€”designed in soft pastels by LM Studio and Woolsey Design Studio€”serves as a touch-and-feel space for the brand's lines of bed, bath and kitchen linens. “It has been a dream of ours to create a true permanent retail space where guests can fall in love with linen,€ says co-founder Vivian McCormick
In addition to showcasing their sheet sets in situ, the space showcases the APT line of kitchen linens they created with Beaucoup Bakery founder Jackie Kai Ellis€”each colourway in the line is inspired by Kai Ellis's Paris apartment. (She's now a full-time member of the team.)
Flax Home co-founders Anna Heyd, Vivian McCormick, and Oana Papuc.
The retail space sits in the same space as their brand's warehouse and offices, and will also serve as a pop-up space for other brands in the coming weeks. Look for events from Poppy Barley and Smash and Tess in the coming weeks, among others.
The APT line of kitchen linens draws its palette inspiration from a Parisian apartment.
The 800-block of East Hastings has also become a little home and design hub with the addition of Flax Home's storefront, opening this Saturday, October 16. It's just a few doors down from CF Interiors and The Garden€”and for foodies, across the street from Les Amis du Fromage, and a soon-to-open second location for cult-fave (and WL Foodies of the Year alum)  Flourist.
