How much do we miss in-person design events? So. Much. So It's with no small amount of joy that we’re thrilled to see the return of in-person, modest-sized distanced eventsand a little window shopping too.
Offsite and virtual events for this year’s IDS take place October 1 to 30and below are some of our favourites from this year’s line-up. (Miss the big exhibit? It’ll be back in September 2022!)
Ever wonder what it takes to make one of Jan Kath's gorgeously complex designs? The designer's son Sanchair will be on site at their Armory District showroom demonstrating the ancient craft of weaving on a knotting loom during live presentations.
SwitzerCult recently relocated to the Armoryone of our favourite spots in Vancouver for wandering for design inspo on a Saturdayand they'll be partnering with Greenscape for their window installation.
Past Designer of the Year Zoë Pawlak opens her new gallery inyou guessed itthe Armory District with a brand new exhibition. Tilted to Center explores our limited capacities and expansive energy through painting. Opening Reception Oct 1 from 5-8pm PST
