2023 Furniture Design Trend #1: Flow State

Stemming from the natural world, design in 2023 embraces the curves and sinuous softness of materials like wood—as in the iconic Noguchi table—or fibreglass, such as the perfect sphere of the Bong coffee table from Capellini. Sculptural forms are also expressed in the porcelain of a pendant light named after the ancient Greek word for together: Hyphen. Or in the now-classic tubular Bibendum lounge chair—by a pioneer of modern design, Eileen Gray—which is both edgy and harmonious with its enveloping curves.
