Spotting a Studio Roslyn design is like recognizing a signature work of art—you just know. Real-life friends and creative partners Kate Snyder and Jessica MacDonald have built a distinct design language defined by bold colours, avant-garde shapes and an intuitive ability to transform functional spaces into unforgettable experiences. After earning a spot in last year’s inaugural WL Design 25, they’re back with another stunner: the reception and waiting room of Vancouver’s Everwell Wellness Clinic. The Kitsilano wellness studio was seeking a new beginning and, with that, a new space and visual identity. Everwell’s blend of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and modern treatments informed the design itself. “Our goal was to create a destination wellness space that feels like a sanctuary for the soul,” write Snyder and MacDonald in their submission. They divided the clinic into five distinct zones based on the elements of TCM: metal, wood, water, earth and fire.

Forest green and earthy brown walls bring in a grounding effect, while bobbin moulding subtly directs visitors toward serene treatment rooms. Inside, bronze metallic paint, rich brown wallcoverings and warm lighting offer cocoon-like calm. Even the washroom pays homage to the fire element, with deep red walls, a blush-rippled quartz sink and soft, glowing light. Everwell’s reception and waiting area sets the tone with nature-inspired design, bold vision and thoughtful details—creating a path to healing where even waiting becomes a meaningful part of the journey.
