From an unexpected pinot gris to festive bubbles and a rosé with serious staying power, these three local bottles deserve a place at your holiday table.
It’s been another bonkers year for the people trying to make a living fermenting grapes. So, this holiday season, we’re raising a glass to a few local vintners making wines that stray just a little from the usual suspects. From a surprisingly versatile pinot gris to festive bubbles and a rosé that can hold its own at the dinner table, these three B.C. bottles are worth celebrating.
Here’s to good wine, good company and a new year that’s (hopefully) a little more stable for everyone.

There’s no denying how good B.C. bubbles have become, and Township 7 has been at the forefront of this welcome quality charge. One of its more affordable offerings, this quirky, floral and absolutely enticing 100-percent riesling sparkler, proves we don’t have to mimic Champagne to achieve greatness in all things effervescent.

With the texture and tension to stand up to heartier holiday dishes, this is a wine that just might convert die-hard red drinkers to the hidden power of pink.
