Because sometimes we really don't want eggs or bacon.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we know, technically, you’re supposed to eat something hearty and healthy. But sometimes what we really need is a jolt of sugar to kickstart the day, and these seven more-sweet-than-savoury breakfasts from the WL Recipe Finder are bound to do just that.

These dinner pancakes may be topped with fresh berry compote, but thanks to the addition of a fried egg, they’ll give you a boost of protein. (And yes, it’s totally okay to eat them for breakfast.)
Whip up a batch of these puffed pancakes and load ’em up with your fave seasonal fruits. A dusting of powdered sugar is good, too.
Not feeling the fresh fruit? Take a cue from WL contributor Julie Van Rosendaal and add caramelized bananas (and a dollop of whipped cream!) to your Dutch baby instead.
From Lee Murphy’s The Preservatory: Seasonally Inspired Recipes for Creating and Cooking with Artisanal Preserves, these carrot cake waffles (made with Seville orange preserves) will give you a taste of dessert in the early morn’.
This crispy, crunchy granola mix is chock-full of hearty stuff—oats, coconut, almonds, sunflower seeds—but it’s the addition of homemade lavender-infused honey that gives it a sugary kick.
Perhaps too fancy for an everyday breakfast, but this mile-high stack of crepes, layered with lemon creme, will really wow at brunch.
