A quick Lunar New Year 2026 side: gai lan stir-fried with ginger, garlic and sweet soy, then finished with a glossy chilli oil drizzle.
Yield: 2 to 4 servings
Prep Time: 4 minutes
Cook Time: 6 minutes
Wash gai lan. Trim off ends, leaving the rest whole, and set aside.
In a medium pan, bring avocado oil to high heat. Add ginger and garlic and stir fry for 30 to 60 seconds until lightly brown. Add in gai lan and stir fry for 1 to 2 minutes, then add 1 tbsp of water and stir fry for another minute. Add Anh and Chi’s Sweet Soy Sauce, salt and pepper to taste, and give it all a final toss in the pan.
Remove veggies from pan, plate so that the vegetables are facing in the same direction, then drizzle with Anh and Chi’s Chilli Oil and serve.
