With the season’s holiday dinners just around the corner, now couldn’t be a better time to pore over Starters, Salads, and Sexy Sides from Vancouver chef Caren McSherry. The founder and owner of the Gourmet Warehouse has created an inspired 80-recipe collection of what she’s calling “hot damn!” sidekick dishes, like prosciutto cups with cheese bread stuffing, paprika and parmesan not-so-green fried tomatoes, and these decadent (but deceptively easy to prepare) Hasselback potatoes with lemon, thyme and asiago cheese.
