It’s not often that you’ll eat dinner near Cranston unless you happen to live near Cranston, but in the last little while there’ve been some whispers that there was a destination spot in the city’s deep south that was worth a drive for non-southeasterners. We dispatched our Calgary City Editor Karen Ashbee (a die-hard inner-city resident) to suss it out and not only did Starbelly get the the thumbs for its no-pretence family-style fare, but she was even able to shake a recipe out of Chef Jonathan Sobol—a perfect Chicken Liver Parfait that perfectly captures the room’s blend of comfort and elegance.Click here for recipe.
