Force of Nature

Along with the river rock fireplace, an organic Bocci light fixture helps to warm up this Deep Cove home. “I think the space is quite architectural, so it could come across as cold modern,” says Jamie Deck of Shift Interiors. “So we were really mindful of the textures that we used… making sure that we had the earth elements.” Check out the rest of this family abode.

A modern take on a traditional crystal chandelier, it fits right in with the homeowner’s sculptures and paintings. Step inside this urban retreat designed by Falken Reynolds.

Retro Redux

Designer Brianna Hughes was tasked with modernizing this five-level split—but the owners also asked her to lean into the home’s eclecticism (read: “quirky twists and turns and nooks and crannies”). In the dining room, that meant incorporating vintage Cesca chairs from Knoll and a delicate, flower-inspired pendant light from Luminaire Authentik. Learn more about this ’70s-inspired renovation.

A ruffled Arteriors chandelier creates a stunning focal point in this dining room and contributes to the home’s elegant, Parisian-inspired style. “I wanted to create a space that welcomed daily family meals but also was polished enough to entertain friends and extended family on holidays and special occasions,” says Jaclyn Pett, co-founder and lead designer of Heirloom Projects.
