Vote now to crown this year’s winner for WL Home of the Year; voting closes on December 17.
Over the last few weeks, you helped us narrow a very strong field of 20 homes down to the five that truly captured your hearts and imaginations. From an Edmonton penthouse carved out of a former mechanical room to a Christmas-ready lake house on the Sunshine Coast, this year’s finalists show off every side of Western Canadian living.
If you missed the first round, our WL Home of the Year competition is our annual readers’ choice celebration of the standout homes we’ve featured in Western Living and on westernliving.ca over the past year—from Whistler retreats to Calgary manor-style renos and beyond.
Now it is time to pick just one. You can vote once per day for your favourite of the five finalists. At the end of the voting period, the home with the most votes will be crowned our 2025 WL Home of the Year.
Scroll through the finalists below, then head to the bottom of the page to cast your vote.
In Deep Cove, Shift Interiors and Evoke International Design bring a family’s long-awaited “forever home” to life with calm, timeless design and kid-friendly, flexible spaces that frame the forest-and-ocean views.
Lush landscapes, classic exteriors and contemporary interiors combine in this Vancouver home from Gateway Architecture, The Creative Design works and Paul Sangha Creative.
On Cultus Lake, X Architecture and Stae Interiors shape a coastal-modern summer home where a daring cantilevered form and bold lines give way to a soft, calming interior made for lingering by the water.
Heirloom Projects transforms this 1980s home, keeping function, family and a French flair in mind.
On Vancouver’s west side, One SEED Architecture + Interiors rebuilds a beloved split-level on its original foundation, turning a 1950s family home into a moody, clerestory-lit West Coast modern with sustainable bones and smarter space for growing teens.
Ready for round two? You’ve got until December 17 at 11:59 p.m. to choose the home that will take the title of 2025 Western Living Home of the Year.
Cast your vote in the poll below for your favourite finalist. You can vote once per day until then, and we’ll reveal the winner on December 18.
Now go vote, vote vote!
