North Vancouver’s favourite furniture family is throwing a birthday to remember.

It all started 40 years agowith Clarinda Kung and Peter Tai selling baskets and wicker furniture out of amodest grocery store. These two would then go on to found Ginger Jar Furniture,a high-end, multi-brand retailer for contemporary indoor and outdoor furniture,and later, its little-sister offshoot for condo dwellers with refined tastes,OMG It’s small.

Both of these showrooms have BIG birthdays this year€”Ginger Jar turns 40 and OMG It’s small turns 10! To celebrate and give thanks, they are going all out this spring with storewide sales, one big party and weekly furniture and decor giveaways, the likes of which we’ve only seen on the Oprah show (€œYou get a chair, and YOU get a chair!). There are a ton of things going on, so you might want to write this down.

The Big Bad Anniversary Sale

Kicking off at both Ginger Jar and OMG showrooms Monday, April 15 and running until Sunday, May 19, there will be prices slashed on select display items and storewide discounts on floor and special orders (some exclusions apply. See in store for details). 

Plus, all sales made duringthis period will be entered into a Win Your Purchase draw. Any purchase made atOMG is entered to win $5,000 and any purchase made at Ginger Jar is entered towin $10,000 of products. The Party

In thisworld of online shopping and big box stores, the Ginger Jar and OMG family arethrowing an appreciation party to thank their customers and partners for theircontinued support and the relationships they€™ve built over the years. Join themfor a big mid-way celebration party on Saturday, May 11, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.at Ginger Jar headquarters. They’ll be serving up on-the-house wine tastings fromArtisan Wine Shop. Plus, Matt, from Sherwood Cabinetry, will be grilling upsome food and serving up cocktails from their outdoor display kitchen.
