Editor's Pick
With a piece like this, you're bound to host more parties.
As we inch toward cooler weather and evenings inside, I start thinking about bar carts. More the social environment that they suggest: nights with friends over board games, a great cocktail and an elegant spot to channel that ’50s-era design when everyone (or it seemed like everyone) had a piece of furniture to showcase their collection. Made from FSC certified domestic black walnut and white Corian, this clever sidebar from Urbancase becomes asymmetrical when it’s in use: a laterally sliding panel reveals compartments for glass, liquor storage and more, while the swing door on the right opens up to reveal the perfect spot for napkins, utensils, or whatever else is needed for mixing up the perfect accompaniment to a Netflix marathon. (Anyone else watching Last Tango in Halifax? Discuss.)Urbancase sidebar, $4,150, available at Mint Interiors, mintinteriors.ca
