Victoria is Finally Getting a Zoë Pawlak Exhibit!

The Vancouver-born artist will debut eight new landscape paintings at Autonomous Furniture this winter.

Landscape painter Zoë Pawlak has a knack for teaming up with our fave designers: she previously joined Jeff Martin to design a dreamy collection of credenzas and her collaboration with Burritt Bros. continues to be one of our faves. But despite being busy forming partnerships in her hometown (she opened a pop-up exhibit at The Aviary’s co-working space earlier this year), our Vancouver Island neighbours haven’t had the same luck. Until now, that is.On Wednesday, November 22, Pawlak will be making her Victoria debut at a brand new exhibit hosted by former WL One to Watch, Autonomous Furniture—and she’s bringing eight brand new beachy landscape paintings with her: “My affection for the ocean must largely have to do with, not only having grown up at its edge, but our parents having taken my brothers and I camping at every seaside harbour and expanse of beach on the West Coast,” says Pawlak, who will be at the opening event to share a few words about her paintings. “It’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to finally show my work in Victoria.”The Landscapes exhibit will be on display at Autonomous Furniture (2101 Government Street, Victoria) from November 22 until January 2018.
