After creating a floor plan, the designer creates a space that embodies the aesthetic and functionality of the customer’s individual tastes and lifestyle needs. The designer then helps select furniture and accessories that match the customer’s space and budget.

The INspiration Furniture interior design service is headed by Lead Designer Lily Tang. Lily and her team bring experience and understanding to realizing the potential of any space by considering the collaboration between architecture, furnishings and accessories. They also focus on colour palette, material choice and finishes, each of which is essential to creating a resolved, cohesive look.

Brothers Peter and Steen Skaaning opened INspiration Furniture in Vancouver in August 2002. Its 40,000-square-foot showroom within the historic landmark, Sigurdson’s Mill in False Creek, features free covered parking, three storeys, five levels, natural light and greenery, and 100-year-old original timber construction. It is home to INspiration Furniture, a Boconcept store, a KARE Design store, a Natuzzi Italia Gallery, a Stressless Comfort Gallery and a wide selection of Cattelan Italia products—all under one roof. That means the potential for creative, beautiful design is nearly endless. INspiration Furniture also recently opened a second location on United Boulevard in Coquitlam.
