We love spotting dogs in gorgeous homes and have done this type of roundup not one, not two, but three times already. And now we’re back at it with a holiday twist. Scroll down for photos of cute and cuddly pups in festive homes. If you’re not already in the holiday mood, this is guaranteed to raise your sprits.

Frankie in a Holiday-Ready Beach House

We love decorating with wreaths and so does Tracey Ayton (and her dog, Frankie). The photographer went heavy on the greenery in her Boundary Bay home, hanging wreaths on almost every door and window—and also above the living room sofa.

Jellybean and Ru in a Chic Vancouver Condo

This festive home, owned by the duo behind Mon Pitou café, was featured in our sister publication, Vancouver magazine… and we couldn’t resist sharing it here as well. Jesse Hawes and Triet Duong go all out during the holidays. “I am a Christmas Gay. I love it and always have,” says Hawes, who decorates the day after Remembrance Day and keeps it all up until the end of January.

Billie in a Rustic-Yet-Refined Island Cottage

Interior designer and stylist Carrie McCarthy takes a simple approach to holiday decorating. Her and her family spend two weeks at this Pender Island cottage every Christmas, hunting for their annual spindly tree as well as gathering pine cones and greenery for wreaths—creating a look that McCarthy calls “refined treasure.”

Lou in a Modern Whistler Holiday Home

Don’t let these sweet pictures fool you—Lou can be a bit mischievous. The antlers that designer Ami McKay placed on the dining room table have an extra-rugged element thanks to him. “I had it on the floor getting ready to style it and the dog chewed it,” she says with a laugh.

Espresso in a Warm and Opulent Calgary Bungalow

The only thing more dazzling than this rescue dog’s holiday outfits, is the homeowners’ holiday décor. Designer Aly Velji and his partner Jason Krell focused on creating a special atmosphere—one layered with fresh greenery, antiques, unique thrift-store finds and dried oranges.

Reece in a Coastal, Christmassy Lake House

The Sunshine Coast is typically recognized as a summer destination, but the team at Knight Varga Interiors gave this abode a laidback look that’s perfect for escaping the city year-round. For the holiday season, floral designer Jehna Chrysler brought in festive greenery and foraged boughs to match the home’s natural materials. It’s subtle but still merry, and designer Nicole Varga’s dog, Reece, also fits right in.

Ace in in a Dressed-Up Grande Dame

Designer Jocelyn Ross was tasked with giving a traditional Shaughnessy home a modern minimalist aesthetic that showcases the owners’ art collection—and is well-suited for holiday entertaining. Mission accomplished! Here, the family dog, Ace, sits on a Bensen swivel chair beside the hemlock saplings in artist Brent Comber’s vessels.

Holiday hack: Save any wallpaper offcuts you might have to use as wrapping paper, as pictured above, or steal these other designer gift wrapping ideas.
