Fruit cake may lie forgotten for most of the year, but come the holidays it returns as a Christmas dessert staple. We recently received a request from a reader for a copy of the fruit cake recipes in the Western Living issue from November 1987, and with the holiday season in full spin we thought now was the perfect time to share them with everyone. Almost 30 years later, these cakes hold up.
