Bubbly Personality

Inspired by champagne, this bedroom by Katie Rioux and Candice Arcuri of DWK Interiors is filled with details that exude a fizzy sort of glamour: sherry drapery, velvety shell chairs, a shag rug, a pair of bubble-like pendant lights. The custom upholstered headboard, which runs the full height of the wall, adds an extra splash of refinement. Learn more about this luxurious space.

Art Attack

Who said your headboard has to be a headboard? Interior designer Angela Robinson replaced the one in her own bedroom with a colourful photograph—an extreme closeup of paint shavings by Judy D. Shane. Peek inside this beautiful Vancouver condo.

Neutral Ground

This primary suite designed by Studio Roslyn proves that a beige-on-beige-on-beige look can be spectacular. With rose, pink and brush brass accents, the space has a modern, warm and cozy glow—and the custom headboard from millworker Tim Grant greatly enhances it. Green Giant

The rich green fabric that Mike Anderson Furniture and Custom Millwork used for this custom headboard is stunning enough on its own—but it looks even better when paired with this primary bedroom’s coral and cream details. All together, the colour palette gives the space a romantic feel. Step inside this Hamptons-inspired home designed by Karly MacLeod.

Holding Pattern

Annaliesse Kelly was so smitten by this fabric from Kravet that she commissioned a custom upholstered bed frame that would put the textile front and centre. (You’ll also spot the pattern on one of the throw pillows in the living room.) Check out the rest of this designer’s light-filled home.

Low Profile

A vaulted ceiling can pose challenges—but not for Amanda Evans. She treated the awkward architecture in this main bedroom as a creative advantage. “We designed the headboard so that it went wall to wall and floor to ceiling to really customize it and cozy up the bedroom,” explains the designer. Red Herring

There’s a lot to love about this Brianna Hughes-designed bedroom—not least of which is the headboard. Beautifully tufted in a Bordeaux-hued microsuede, it’s a standout piece in an otherwise subdued space. “I love to have the bedroom fully painted out, with matching drapery and not a lot of different colours or textures,” she says. “It’s visually soothing.” Tour this moody Edmonton home.

Quiet Reflection

All of the glass elements—from the expansive windows and twin pendant lights to the partition behind the bed—give this Cedric and Marieke Burgers-designed bedroom a serene vibe. The natural textures in the siding flooring and area rug help, too. Explore the rest of this modern home or find out how to get this bedroom look for yourself.
