Mudroom

Practical spaces can be playful, as demonstrated by this Shift Interiors-designed mudroom. The durable all-green millwork can take on everything from dripping wet coats to wagging tails—and look good doing it. “That’s a utilitarian environment that we made look kind of fun,” says creative director Jamie Deck. Lounge

Why opt for just one shade of green when you can do multiple? Kadie Hilario and the Amanda Hamilton Interior Design team drenched this Calgary home’s hidden lounge in the hue with a pistachio-coloured coffered ceiling, custom emerald cabinetry, seafoam green sofa and lily-pad printed wallcovering. Laundry Room

With hanging rods, roll-out hampers, a pull-down drying rack and a deep sink, this laundry room is ready to work. But thanks to the warm green millwork and ceiling, it doesn’t look like a purely functional space. “We wanted you to walk into a space that felt very layered and warm and offered texture,” says Rosemary Cappellano of Winnipeg’s Dlux Design and Co. Bathroom

This isn’t the first time we’ve featured this green bathroom (see here and here) and it probably won’t be the last—we love it that much.
