We're giving away a pair of tickets for the festival, running November 10 to 13.
Vancouver’s Architecture and Design Film Festival returns next week to a newly renovated venue: the VIFF Centre. 21 films from 11 different countries are being spotlighted at the fest, including 3 local flicks:
Form and Place: Arthur Erickson is a short film contemplating buildings from the iconic PNW designerit includes an interview with him along with shots of his best work.
Form and Place: Vancouver Special is another short, and it celebrates B.C.’s favourite boxy abode. In it, architect Stephanie Robb proves that the Vancouver Special’s utilitarian bones make it perfect for renovation.
From Earth to Sky is a feature film that spotlights seven Indigenous architects (Tammy Eagle Bull, Douglas Cardinal, Wanda Dalla Costa, Alfred Waugh, Brian Porter, Daniel Glenn and Patrick Stewart) who overcame adversity and climbed to the top of their field.
The fest runs from November 10 to 13, and we’re giving away two tickets to any of the films (except for the opening night party, but you should check that out, too).
