Long-coveted Le Creuset launches a new stainless steel cookware line.
I have a friend who decided she was officially a grown-up once she had a long-coveted Le Creuset Dutch oven sitting on her stovetop. I’ve collected a couple of pieces myself over the years—I love their oven-to-table versatility and more than that, I love the hit of colour they bring to the kitchen. (I was recently at the Dwell on Design conference, and one of the top trends for the year was just that: countertop appliances are all bold colour, in contrast to the woods and stainless steel in the surrounding kitchen.) Now there’s a new line to covet from Le Creuset: their new stainless steel cookware is smartly designed with integrated capacity marks for easy measuring, and will work on all cooktops, including induction. Best of all they’re all dishwasher safe. I’ve just picked up the sauté pan, and plan to dish out a mean paella this coming weekend.Le Creuset stainless steel sauté pan, $250 with handle, available at Ming Wo in Vancouver and Le Creuset in Calgary, lecreuset.ca
