Established in 1940, when Edmond and Deborah Szekely’s first guests arrived at a striking Baja California campsite in 1940, Rancho La Puerta has always had a mission to improve the visitors’ wellbeing. Today, the expansive 4000-acre Ranch offers more than 60 activities ranging from art and cooking classes, to meditation and hikes over mountain terrain, and facilities now include world-class gardens, a six-acre organic farm, a cooking school, a salon, an extensive spa and fitness facilities, swimming pools, and more.
Rancho La Puerta is located four miles into Mexico across the U.S. border in Tecate, Baja California, just an hour’s drive from San Diego’s airport.
