Warm up your tastebuds at the Chefs Table Society of B.C.s 3rd Annual Curry Cup.
The beauty of curry is its diversity and its ability to warm you up from the inside out. Spicy or mild, creamy or light, the possibilities are endless and every chef—professional or aspiring—has their own special recipe. The Chefs’ Table Society of BC returns to Heritage Hall on March 7 to celebrate the infinite complexities of India’s favourite fragrant cuisine with the 3rd Annual Curry Cup. Watch as this year’s competitors—including Chef Trevor Bird of Fable Kitchen and Cook Culture’s Chef Jonathan Chovancek—battle it out curry to curry in a bid to take the cup.The evening will be hosted by FredAboutTown‘s Fred Lee and judged by a panel of experts: Sonia Beeksma from Global BC, chef and restaurateur Meeru Dhalwala, Barbara-Jo McIntosh of Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks, food blogger Mijune Pak, and last year’s Curry Cup champion, Rob Ratcliffe of Hawksworth Restaurant. (Check out his winning recipe from last year here!).The judges don’t get to have all the fun though! Tickets include samples of each dish, along with drinks from Evolve Cellars and R&B Brewing, alcoholic and booze-free cocktail creations by Lauren Mote, plus the chance to chat with the chefs about their recipes before the night is out.Partial proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Growing Chefs. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit eventbrite.ca
