The temporary boutique, which runs until January 6, is a designophile's dream.
I typically favour bookstores as my one-stop shop for holiday browsing—there are few other places where you can please both your “Baby Shark”–obsessed kid niece and your office Secret Santa who’s partial to the true-crime genre in one fell swoop—but Nordstrom’s latest pop-up is seriously making me reconsider my seasonal buying game.Dubbed Merry+Bright, the temporary boutique runs at Vancouver’s Nordstrom (799 Robson Street) until January 6, and is stocked with all sorts of fun and functional gifts—from french fry–shaped earrings and detoxing body scrubs to ramen-adorned phone cases and dog toys designed to mimic the look of La Croix cans—that should satisfy even the most hard-to-shop-for names on your list. Its selection of home goods, which run the gamut from playful (pom-pom pillows) to innovative (HD pet cameras and treat dispensers) to downright kooky (“redhead”–scented candles), is especially impressive and sure to excite the discerning designophiles in your life. And for those situated outside of Vancouver, don’t worry: all products are available online, where you can shop from the comfort of your own home.Check out a few of our top home picks from the pop-up below, and see our designophile gift guide for a even more cool suggestions.
