CLOSED: Win a Poäng Chair

We challenge you to find someone in your life that has not owned one of these chairs at some point. From students who fight over the most basic model, to parents who need something comfortable in a wipeable material, to homeowners who splurge on real leather, the Poäng chair has become a staple in North American homes with over 30 million sold to date. To celebrate the design’s fortieth birthday, Ikea is releasing one new frame and six covers to the existing range of combinations.Despite the megastore’s Scandinavian roots, the original Poäng was actually created by Japenese designer Noboru Nakamura. “Forty years is a fairly long period of time,” says Nakamura, “There seems to be a lot of customers out there who appreciate my products, which I’m pleased and proud of.”
